We are 100% owned and run by the people of Langa — born here, raised here, shaped by its streets, its struggles, its laughter, and its resilience. This is not a tour company built from the outside looking in. This is a living story told by those who live it every day.

Langa Township Tours began as a dream to reclaim and tell our own stories — not through distant voices or packaged narratives, but through the eyes of those who live and breathe this community daily.
Our journey didn’t start in a boardroom; it started in 1999 on the very streets we walk today.
Langa Tours is built on the foundation laid by a true pioneer: the late ward 51 Langa counciller Nomtha Dilima. Back when township tourism was still in its infancy, Nomtha saw the potential for our community to speak for itself. She didn’t just lead tours; she paved the way for a new generation of storytellers.
At the time, Xolani Sipoyo ( our veteran tour guide) and I were just teenagers. Taken under her wing, we were raised in the art of hospitality and the responsibility of heritage. She taught us that every visitor is a guest in our home, and every story told must be rooted in truth and dignity.
Today, that torch is carried forward by our lead guide, Xolani Sipoyo — a respected local voice with over 25 years of experience.
But Xolani is not simply a guide.He is a son of Langa. Raised here. Educated here. Shaped here.
Having been mentored by his mother from a young age, Xolani grew into one of Langa’s most trusted storytellers. His knowledge is not memorised, it is embodied.
He knows the elders sitting on the street corners because they watched him grow up.

You are walking with someone deeply invested in the upliftment and future of his community.
